關於AppLovin

AppLovin Corporation operates a software platform that helps mobile app developers, principally mobile game publishers, market and monetize their applications. The core of the business is its AppDiscovery and Adjust-related advertising engine, branded AXON, which uses machine learning to match in-app advertisements to users at scale. A smaller portion of revenue historically came from a portfolio of owned mobile games run under the Apps segment, though the company has moved to divest that business and concentrate on its Software Platform. Advertising software, rather than first-party games, is the durable profit engine, and the shift toward a pure-play adtech identity has become the defining feature of the enterprise.

Investors track how much of the platform's growth depends on a concentrated base of mobile gaming advertisers and the pace at which AXON extends into non-gaming verticals such as e-commerce and connected television. Dependence on the iOS and Android duopolies, including Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and any future privacy changes, is a recurring structural question. Governance features draw attention: a dual-class share structure concentrates voting power with founders and early backers, and the company has pursued sizable share repurchases as its principal capital-return tool. Index inclusion in large U.S. benchmarks has expanded the passive holder base and heightened sensitivity to disclosure cadence.

AppLovin was founded in 2012 by Adam Foroughi, Andrew Karam and John Krystynak in Palo Alto, California, initially as a mobile advertising technology firm. Chinese private-equity firm Orient Hontai Capital took a majority stake in 2016, later unwound, and KKR made a significant investment in 2018. The company built out its mobile-games portfolio through acquisitions such as Machine Zone in 2020, then went public on Nasdaq in April 2021. A defining transformation came with the 2021 acquisition of MoPub from Twitter and the subsequent deployment of the AXON machine-learning engine, which repositioned the company from a games-and-ads hybrid toward a software-first advertising platform.

Customers are chiefly mobile application developers who buy user-acquisition and monetization services on a performance basis, meaning AppLovin is paid when its algorithms deliver installs, engagements or in-app purchases that meet advertiser return targets. Contracts are typically self-serve and auction-based rather than long-dated commitments, so retention depends on measured campaign performance rather than contractual lock-in. Competitive position rests on the scale of AXON's training data, integration with major mobile measurement partners, and direct supply relationships with app publishers. The company competes with Meta and Google's ad networks for gaming budgets, and with Unity, ironSource and The Trade Desk in adjacent niches. Revenue is generated globally, with substantial exposure to both U.S. and international app economies.
