Keurig Dr Pepperについて

Keurig Dr Pepper is a North American beverage company built around two complementary businesses: a single-serve coffee system and a portfolio of branded cold beverages. The coffee business centers on the Keurig brewing platform and K-Cup pods, sold both directly and through licensed partner brands that pay per pod. The cold beverage side spans carbonated soft drinks led by Dr Pepper, Canada Dry, 7UP, A&W, Sunkist and Schweppes, alongside still drinks such as Snapple, Mott's, Bai and Core, and a growing energy and hydration portfolio. Revenue splits across U.S. Refreshment Beverages, U.S. Coffee, and International segments, with the U.S. cold beverage franchise typically generating the largest share of segment profit thanks to concentrate economics and owned distribution.

Investors track the durability of single-serve coffee volumes as pod attach rates mature and private-label competition presses on pricing, alongside commodity exposure to green coffee, aluminum, PET and freight. Concentration matters on both sides of the ledger: a handful of retailers including Walmart account for a meaningful share of sales, and the bottling network combines company-owned direct-store-delivery with third-party bottlers whose incentives must be managed. Governance features include the continued significant ownership stake tied to JAB Holding, which shapes board composition and capital allocation. Other durable questions include the pace of debt reduction following major deals, dividend policy, tuck-in M&A cadence, and regulatory attention to sugar, packaging and recycling.

The current company was formed in July 2018 when Keurig Green Mountain, then controlled by an investor group led by JAB, combined with Dr Pepper Snapple Group in a reverse merger that took the coffee business public through the beverage listing. Dr Pepper Snapple itself traced back to the 2008 spin-off from Cadbury Schweppes, which had assembled the U.S. soft drink assets through the 1990s and 2000s. Keurig had grown from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, a Vermont roaster founded in 1981 that acquired the Keurig single-serve system in 2006 and was taken private by JAB in 2016. The merged company is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts and Frisco, Texas, and trades on Nasdaq.

Mechanically, revenue flows through three main channels. In cold beverages, the company sells concentrate to bottlers, finished packaged product through its own direct-store-delivery network, and licensed brands under agreements with third parties including cross-licensing with other beverage majors. In coffee, it sells brewers largely at low margin to seed the installed base and monetizes recurring pod consumption, taking royalties from licensed partner brands that account for a large share of K-Cup volume. Customers concentrate in mass retail, grocery, club, convenience and foodservice, with e-commerce a growing channel. Competitive position rests on shelf space, brand equity, cold-drink distribution reach and the Keurig ecosystem, positioning the company as a distant third to Coca-Cola and PepsiCo in U.S. non-alcoholic beverages, with the vast majority of revenue generated in the United States.
