The mass-market floor of tables and machines produces nearly all gaming income, and the surrounding ski, golf, and hotel amenities function partly as demand feeders that smooth seasonality. A slice of earnings flows back into funds for former mining communities, embedding the social mission in the cost structure. The foreigner-only casinos run by Paradise and Grand Korea Leisure cannot legally serve Korean citizens, leaving Kangwon Land without direct domestic competition.
