關於Honeywell International

Honeywell International is a diversified American industrial and technology company operating across four reportable segments: Aerospace Technologies, Industrial Automation, Building Automation, and Energy and Sustainability Solutions. Aerospace, which supplies engines, avionics, auxiliary power units, mechanical systems, and connected services to commercial, business, and defense aircraft platforms, is typically the largest contributor to both revenue and segment profit. Industrial Automation covers process controls, sensing, warehouse and workflow automation, and productivity solutions including barcode scanners. Building Automation provides fire, security, and building management systems. Energy and Sustainability Solutions houses UOP, which licenses refining and petrochemical process technology, and Advanced Materials, which produces specialty chemicals, fluorine products, and electronic materials.

Serious holders monitor the aftermarket intensity of the Aerospace franchise, since installed-base service revenue tends to carry higher and more durable margins than original equipment shipments, and defense budget cycles and commercial aircraft build rates set the ceiling. Exposure to civil aviation regulators, export controls, and environmental rules around refrigerants and PFAS chemistries is watched closely. Capital allocation is a defining question: the company has historically favored a mix of buybacks, dividends, bolt-on acquisitions, and portfolio reshaping. Corporate governance features include a separated chair and chief executive at various periods and an active portfolio-review posture. Cyclicality varies sharply by segment, with short-cycle industrial businesses moving faster than long-cycle aerospace.

Honeywell traces its origins to the 1885 Butz thermo-electric heat regulator business that evolved into Minneapolis-Honeywell Regulator Company, formed by a 1927 merger, and later renamed Honeywell. The modern company was created in 1999 when AlliedSignal, the former aerospace and materials conglomerate, acquired Honeywell and adopted its name. Headquarters moved from New Jersey to North Carolina in the early 2020s. In 2018 the company spun off Resideo Technologies, its residential products arm, and Garrett Motion, its automotive turbocharger business. In 2024 leadership announced plans to separate Advanced Materials, and in 2025 disclosed intentions to further split the remaining company into standalone Aerospace and Automation entities.

Revenue is generated through original equipment sales, long-dated aftermarket service and spare parts contracts, software and recurring subscriptions, and technology licensing at UOP, where refiners pay royalties and equipment fees to deploy proprietary process units. Customers span airframers such as Boeing and Airbus, airlines and business jet operators, the U.S. Department of Defense and allied militaries, oil and gas majors, warehouse and logistics operators, and commercial building owners. Competitive position rests on installed base, certification barriers, and integrated hardware-plus-software offerings. Principal rivals include RTX, GE Aerospace, Safran, Emerson Electric, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, and Johnson Controls. International markets contribute a substantial share of sales.
